A former Minister of Aviation, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, has said his party, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, is in “serious” need of prayers.
Fani-Kayode, who was the spokesperson of the PDP Presidential Campaign Organization in the last general elections, was reacting to the reported nomination of former Borno State governor, Senator Ali Modu Sheriff, as the new acting national chairman of the main opposition party.
The National Caucus of the PDP on Tuesday appointed the ex-governor as its acting national chairman although there are reports the Board of Trustees members have opposed the move and canvassed support for Ambassador Wilberfore Juta.
Reacting to this development, Mr. Fani-Kayode took to his Twitter page and wrote:

Given todays events it is clear to me that, more than at any other time in its 16 years in existence, the PDP needs serious prayers.
