Goodluck Jonathan’s foster father, Inengite Nitabai, has again been abducted by gunmen suspected to be kidnappers. The 72-year-old Nitabai was kidnapped by a seven-man gang on Wednesday 17 February 2016.
The Gunmen invaded his country home in Otuoke, Ogbia Local Government Area of Bayelsa State and took him away to an unknown place.
Nitabai, a former lecturer at the Rivers State University of Science and Technology, Port Harcourt, however, regained his freedom on 13 March 2014, following his rescue by the anti-kidnapping squad of the Bayelsa State Police Command.
The Police Public Relations Officer of the Bayelsa Command, Asinim Butswat, confirmed Wednesday’s kidnapping of Nitabai in Yenagoa.
“A massive manhunt have been launched by a combined team of Marine Police and Anti-Kidnapping Unit of the Command, to rescue the victim and arrest the abductors. Investigation is ongoing”, he said.
