(Chuks Onuoha, UMUAHIA)
Governor Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia state has called on erstwhile opponents who have truly repented to come up with ideas that will advance the course of the state, warning that those who plan to attack him in the days ahead can only do so at their disadvantage.
He stated this during a thanksgiving service, rededicating the eastern state to God, which was held at Umuahia Township Stadium.
He said that his victory at the Supreme Court marks an end to the politics of exclusion in Abia state, adding that it is not a personal victory but one from God geared towards the unity of the state.
“The victory is not all about me but what God wants to do through me,” Ikpeazu said.
He disclosed that his government is currently doing 55 roads across the state while six are ready for commissioning in Aba, and that he sees himself as a commonsense Governor working for the common good of the common man.
The Governor maintained that under his watch the state will return to prosperity and urged Abians to pray for him.
