There was confusion at the international wing of the Murtala Mohammed Airport Lagos in early hours of the morning yesterday after a female passenger was found dead in the toilet at about 6.30am.
LEADERSHIP gathered that the middle-age woman was billed to travel to Abu-Dhabi in an early Etihad Airways flight when she collapsed in one of the toilets that serve the departure hall and was confirmed dead at about 6.30am by officials of the airport health department.
While details of the circumstances that led to her death remained sketchy at press time, it was gathered that she was traveling to Abu Dhabi for medical treatment.
The deceased was said to have suffered a bout of pain that made her to rush to the toilet where she died.

“As at now what we have is only her travelling information. She was travelling to Abu Dhabi and was to fly Etihad Airways when the incident occurred. We are investigating the death and would give details of what happened as we obtain the facts,” Dati said.
