The former spokesperson of the Department of State Services (DSS) Marilyn Ogar has dragged the Federal Government to the National Industrial Court of Nigeria (NICN) over her sack.
She is praying the court to cancel both her sack and demotion to chief security intelligence officer from assistant director. She also wants the court to restore her rank, salaries and benefits.
NICN President Justice Babatunde Adejumo heard her prayers, yesterday in Abuja.
Named as defendants in the suit filed on behalf of Ogar by Ahmed Raji, SAN, are the Attorney General of the Federation, the State Security Service (SSS) and the Director General SSS.
Ogar was promoted alongside 44 others towards the end of the Goodluck Jonathan administration. But the Buhari administration reversed the promotions, citing irregularities and breach of extant rules guiding such actions.
