He explained that government will concentrate its efforts towards fishing out ghost workers in order to check leakages that have drained the state of millions of tax payer’s money.

The governor made the commitment on Monday in a parley with representatives of commercial banks in the state preparatory to the introduction of Treasury Single Account (TSA) for government businesses.

He appealed to commercial banks to assist government in tracking down ghost workers through the Bank Verification Number (BVN) mechanism and called on them to avail government all details of bank accounts and transactions aimed at harmonizing the financial businesses of government.
