The Etsu Bassa Nge in Kogi State, Alih Abuh has urged the state government to expedite action on the construction of Lokoja-Shintaku Bridge.
The monarch’s appeal is against the backdrop of the memorandum of understanding signed between the state government and CCN construction company for the construction of Lokoja-Shintaku Bridge.
Etsu Bassa Nge, who spoke with LEADERSHIP Sunday in his palace, at Gboloko noted that Shintaku is within the state capital territory and with the recent economic down turn, the area when incorporated would provide some sources of revenue to the state.
He asked Governor Yahaya Bello not to abandon the projects initiated by the immediate past administration in the state.
“We have seen Capt Idris Wada’s plan to link Lokoja with Shintaku as a giant stride in his administration which has expanded through opening up of Otokiti 10 kilometer to Ajaokuta link road.
“The present administration has shown some level of commitments and that is why we are supporting him,” he said.
