I ‘ll do more

HELMSMAN of Anambra State and winner of The Sun Governor of the Year, Chief Willie Obiano has extolled the ingenuity and spirit of excellence embedded in Igbo technocrats and business men.
The governor who was honoured alongside 18 others Nigerians at The Sun Awards 2015, described the awards bestowed on him and other distinguised Igbo personalities among the pantheon of awardees, as a victory for Ndigbo.
He attributed his recognition by The Sun Publishing Limited to the effects of ordinary citizens of Anambra State.
“I want to dedicate this award to the ordinary citizens of Anambra State-the road sweepers, the security agents wo work tirelessly to make Anambra State the safest in Nigeria,” he said.
He said that in the two-year period of piloting the affairs of the state, he had steadfastly pursued the basic philosophy of his administration, encapsulated in the vision to “make Anambra State the 1st Choice Investment Destination and a hub for industrialization and commercial activities while the mission is to make business-friendly environment that would attract both indigeneous and foreigners to seek wealth-creating opportunities.”
He expressed joy that both the vision and mission are being realized with abundant evidence that even the most diehard critics of the administration grudgingly and privately acknowledge.
He said that his administartion would not rest on its oars, promising that he would do more for the people of Ndi Anambra who reposed trust in him and gave him the mandate to make the state a quantum leaf in economic development that would position it as one of the three biggest state economies in the country, through agriculture and massive industrialization.
